In
the story “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings: A Tale for Children” by Gabriel
Marquez an old angel man had fallen into mud. A couple found him and put him in
their chicken coop. After the man came the couple sick child got well. The man
wings wouldn’t work right.
While
the man was in the chicken coop people would come by and throw him stuff. The couple
started charging people to do that. They saved all the money up and built them
a house. The man still stayed in the chicken coop. Slowly he started staying in the house. The man
was sick and couldn’t move. Then, one day the man started to fly away. The women
looked at him as the flied. She looked until she couldn’t see him anymore.
I
think the man helped the child get well. The man overcame his sickness as well.
Also I think the couple should’ve let the man stayed with them. They made him stay with the chickens even when
they were making money off him. At the
end I was happy that he was able to get up and fly.
In conclusion, the
story was kind of sad. At the end everything turned out right. He was finally
able to go free. He wasn’t stuck in the house or the chicken coop. He was down,
but he got back up after a while. This story
had many lessons in it.
I agree with what you're saying but perhaps to better your writing you could use more of a variety with sentence types. I also noticed that there wasn't much of your personal take on the story but that it was of a summary.
